SE'nSE 2020 Call for sustainable start-ups - closed
The Foundation for Future Generations launches each year its SE’nSE call for projects for sustainable early stage start-ups with a positive impact on the environment.
The call is national and in English (application form and presentation in front of the jury).
For more detailed information have a look at the presentation document. The call is now closed.
The selected start-ups are offered seed capital in the form of a convertible subordinated loan of up to 50.000 €. The aim of the Foundation for Future Generations is to pass on a liveable world by promoting and supporting sustainable entrepreneurship. By providing seed financing, the Foundation for Future Generations wants to help early stage, quality, sustainable projects bridge the gap between 3F stage (Family, Fools & Friends) and a more stable stage with easier access to traditional sources of financing.
In addition to the financial support, SE’nSE Fund offers opportunities for networking, experience exchange, and a national communication campaign.
This year up to 3 projects will be selected by an experienced Jury. The main selection criterion is their (potential) positive impact on the environment. Other key criteria are the quality of the business plan and its underlying strategy, quality of the team and originality of the concept. Start-ups in a great variety of sectors can be selected. SE’nSE, a seed equity fund for start-ups with positive environmental impact
The SE’nSE Fund was set up in 2016 by Pierre Mottet and is hosted by Foundation for Future Generations. Its aim is to contribute to a sustainable world by stimulating entrepreneurship.
Thanks to an endowment of €150.000 yearly, from its founder and other philanthropists, the SE’nSE Fund succeeds in supporting start-ups with a significant positive impact on the environment, by offering seed capital, more precisely a subordinated convertible loan. This support to sustainable entrepreneurs is a non-for-profit programme, made possible by the multiannual financial support of the SE’nSE Fund and the Aether Fund for Future Generations. For this edition, this funding is complemented by a donation from the Eurofins Foundation.
