Citizens' Panel on spatial planning, mobility and sustainable development (2001)
The regional citizen's panel on spatial planning, mobility and sustainable development was the first citizens' panel in Belgium. It has taken place in 2003.
Citizens handed their report in publicly to the Walloon Government, at the request of the minister in charge of spatial planning and the minister in charge of mobility, on the following issue: “Regional development, Mobility, Sustainable Development… Which future for our province?”.
The citizens’ report provided the government with a deep insight into the collective values and the ranking of these values according to informed citizens.
